Queensland Pool Laws

With a most comprehensive review after 20 years, the Queensland Pool Safety Laws has come with a new tough attitude. It has come up with the aim to reduce drowning and immersion incidents for the young swimmers.

The first stage or the phase of the law amendment came in effect on 1st December 2009 and it was identical to the new residential pools. And the stage 2 has now come into effect on 1st December 2010 and aims to improve the safety measures of the existing swimming pools. The Queensland Development Code Mandatory Part 3.4 has replaced 11 different pool safety standards.
